chinatown GTA: Chinatown Wars, 120 minutes of cutscenes!

It’s almost mind blowing that the DS version of GTA could hold 2 hours of cut scenes but apparently so, according to the BBFC.

Note that since February 2001 the BBFC has measured each component separately, but older works may not have the exact details, only a list of titles.
n/a GRAND THEFT AUTO: CHINATOWN WARS
02:00:00:00 SUPPLEMENTARY CUTSCENES (APPROX)
00:48:00:00 SUPPLEMENTARY GAMEPLAY FOOTAGE (APPROX)

A film or video, together with associated trailers may exist in several versions and all versions known to the BBFC are listed below.

No doubt the cut scenes are mostly in game rendered but it still makes for a pretty damn big game scope, also listed on the BBFC listing is the ‘48 minutes of Supplementary Gameplay footage’… which could be anything although although presuming it’s cutscene related it does push up the running time to an impressive 168 minutes.

GTA: Chinatown Wars is being developed by Rockstar Leeds / Rockstar North and will be exclusive to the Nintendo DS, it’s currently planned for a March 17, 2009 release.

Didn’t you hear that the cutscene’s were going to be animated? Like, anime-style, as Dan Houser put it?

Geez, get into the 21st century.

Maybe it’ll be like the cutscenes in Dragonball: Origins…

I never t hought id see GTA on nintendo.

looks cool, thankfully its for a console.

After the GTA IV pc debacle, ill never buy another GTA PC version again, until they step away from Microsoft, Games for Windows Live, and SecuRom, as well as learn how to build PC games fromt he ground up instead of Dumping X360 versions such as BUlly Scholarship and GTA 4.

I am interested in seeing how this game turns out. Look forward to a review. I do not expect cutting-edge gameplay, but using the stylus, I do not doubt they can string together some OTT-ridiculous violence and combat.
