With guns a blazing, Ubisoft has announced that Call of Juarez multiplayer downloadable content will make its way to PSN and XBL this week. Amazon has just a handful of Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood left for $34.97 on both the 360 and PS3, this week may very well be an opportune time for some wild west action.

With four online multiplayer maps, the “Old West Map Pack,” will cost you almost a third of what the deal on Amazon provides. With its $9.99 price tag, this first of three DLCs coming to the wild west shooter will put you in the middle of the action where it “will allow players to relive even more historical events of American history.” Read more… »

Tony Hawk Ride

Activision and Robomodo have just announced the finalized roster for their upcoming title Tony Hawk Ride. The tenth installment in the popular skateboarding franchise will see past Tony Hawk stalwarts teaming up with several up-and-coming professionals for the title’s release.

I think the verdict is in on Titan Studios’ Fat Princess and, as I’m sure you all have heard, it’s a resounding success. The only complaints about the PS3 exclusive have been in regards to connection problems.

Since the games launch last Thursday, numerous players, myself included, have been having issues with lag and connecting to servers. According to Titan’s blog, “Thanks to your feedback, we’ve identified a specific problem and already have a fix in testing.” The developer also stated that they are trying to rush the patch though Sony’s testing process. Today Activision announced that the the Modern Warfare franchise will make an appearance on the DS.

Dubbed Call of Duty: Modern Warfare: Mobilized, the hand held title will arrive this holiday season. Featuring “building-to-building tactical combat,” player controlled vehicles and a storyline that serves as a “companion narrative” to Modern Warfare 2, Mobilized promises to continue the tradition of quality Call of Duty games. If you drive past Gamestop, fanboys and fangirls alike are already waiting in line for the most highly anticipated sequel to release this holiday season. They have faith in Infinity Ward to provide an excellent experience worthy of their hard-earned cash, all $150.00 of it.

According to GTPlanet, rumour has it that the long awaited fifth entry to the coveted Gran Turismo series could well be on its way by the end of 2009. The tentative release date remains a closely guarded secret however, as GTPlanet merely point to an “unofficial but extremley reliable source” which states that a 2009 release date is near certain, but Amazon’s speculation of a December 29th release remains incorrect.

Keep your engines revving for August 18th however, as the release date is likely to be unveiled during Sony’s conference at the GamesCom Cologne.
