actipc Activision leaves PC Gaming Alliance

Although Activision was one of the founding publishers that formed the PC Gaming Alliance, it has been revealed that they have left. Over the past couple days people have noticed that Activision’s logo was no longer being displayed on the PCGA’s website. These people contacted the PCGA for confirmation and they replied, “a few members have decided they cannot justify the budget (membership and staff) required to maintain an active role in the PC Gaming Alliance at this time.”Apparently, Activision was one of the members that wanted out. Naturally, to many, this name means little. xbox 360 e74 error 2 Xbox 360 Three Year Warranty Extended to Cover E74

Victims of the E74 error have been without hope. Although there problem seems to be almost the same as the dreaded Red Ring of Death, Microsoft had not seen it as such. Your hopes were dashed, your repair coffin did not come.

In an effort to keep themselves out of trouble, Microsoft has ammended the RRoD warranty to cover the E74 error. Microsoft decided “that the E74 error message can indicate the general hardware failure that is associated with three flashing red lights error on the console,” and will “refund to customers the amount paid for an out of warranty repair due to a general hardware failure associated with the e74 error message.”

A recent Microsoft job posting has offered a few hints at the direction in which they plan to take the next Halo title (not ODST).  After a round of rhetorical questions concerning the applicant’s assumed love of the franchise and the like, the ad goes on to announce the ‘ambitious task ahead, taking the current Halo community and online gaming support system and bringing it to the next level.’
