I have to confess: the main reason I played this game because I’m a total nerd for all things Mega Man. Surely, there was no way a turn-based RPG about Mega Man X could be any good, right? Well, to my surprise, the game was not an absolute train-wreck. I guess that’s understandable, since it was made by Capcom’s Production Studio 3 – the development team behind the long-running Breath of Fire series. That doesn’t mean, however, that the game is great by any stretch.

One of the greatest times in my young life was in late April when my father and I would drag out the old tiller, tuning it up, and churning the ground. Yes, the writing is incredibly dirty and the gameplay is a joke in itself, but the game isn’t completely without merit. (This game is perverted, and the review shall reflect that. An interesting – and rather unexpected – report out of 1Up has revealed that Armored Core 3 is being ported to the PSP.  Though the game’s ETA remains unknown, word is that it’ll be touched up a bit along the way, benefiting from the additions of wireless play and new parts.

On Tuesday evening the body of a nine year old was discovered near the foot of his apartment building, from the top of which he had evidently leapt with a makeshift parachute.  According to reports currently circulating, the boy, Damori Miles, was allegedly acting in imitation of the PS2 game WWE Smackdown vs. Raw.

Seriously, what average RPG player was dying to pick up The World Ends With You? Based on its aesthetic, it appeared to be a game about things that would probably alienate its usual target audience – that is, running around in the streets of a big city while being cool and trendy.

Developed by Square-Enix and Jupiter, TWEWY is not only one of the most refreshingly original RPGs from S-E in a long time, but perhaps one of the most original RPGs in a long time, period. Thankfully, it sounds like the game has caught on really well. Read more… »

IGN has released the new trailer for Final Fantasy Agito XIII (the PSP edition of the XIII trilogy) from the Final Fantasy XIII demo. It seems that the main characters of this game are the guardians of the crystal that explodes at the beginning of the video, but its not apparent how this game will tie into the others (XIII and Versus XIII).  The combat looks to be a hybrid of Final Fantasy XII’s combat and Star Ocean’s, and the gameplay footage shows that the PSP’s graphical abilities are being pushed to the brink.  Lets hope they bring it to Europe and America…soon!
