I'm all for this whole change thing and I admire how society for the better half is changing their mono-cultural views, but I fail to understand why this Inauguration (or rather, the events leading up to it) were so hyped up by the media. Do not get me wrong, I enjoy politics and getting involved is never a bad thing, but I was watching some CBS news and other American morning news shows which are broadcasted here at 4am and what I saw was mind-boggling. Inauguration snacks, what dog the Obama family is going to choose and what songs are going to be sung at the event! Doesn't it all seem a bit much? (Hope it does not sound like I am bashing America, I just found everyone was more over hyped than the release of Halo 3 for crying out loud.)

I understand what you're saying and no bud, you're not bashing the States. You're just expressing your opinion. People hyped this event because, like you said Obama is all about the Change. People need change, people want change, and Obama has promised change. So people just want to see if he is all talk or if he means business. I believe Obama CAN and WILL help us through this difficult time!
