Most Dramatic Shift of Game Quality

In your opinion, which game series has had the most dramatic shift from one entry to another.

In my opinion, I think Team Fortress 1 to Team Fortress 2 had the most dramatic shift. As well, I think Assassin's Creed 1 to 2 should be mentioned as well.

I hear that the Jak and Daxter series had an abrupt shift. I think it was between 1 and 2? Or was it between 2 and 3? Not quite sure.
