Bingo is quite a simple, yet incredibly exciting, game. However, it does have a few different variants. If you have never played before, below is a quick guide to the different online variants. When you have become au fait with all the ins and outs, you can check out some of the lucrative cash prizes on offer when you play online bingo by William Hill.
This is the style of bingo most associated with the United Kingdom. When you play 90 ball bingo online you receive a card with three rows and nine columns. There will be 15 numbers on each card, with 5 numbers in each row as well as blank spaces. The game is normally played in three stages: line, two lines and full house. The aim is to match the numbers on your card to the called numbers. If you match all five numbers on your row, that is a line and you could win a cash prize. The same goes for two lines. The ultimate aim is to get a Full House, i.e. match all your 15 numbers before anyone else. In online bingo getting a Full House can sometimes lead to a large cash prize.
In this variant the card is a 4×4 square with no spaces, with a selection of random numbers between 1 and 80. You can get a win by matching the numbers on the four corners of the card, or by getting a line and, of course, the Full House (all 16 numbers). The best online bingo operators offer you the option of selecting which type of wins (corners, lines etc.) you want to play for, or you can choose to play for a mixture of them all.
the same basic rules apply to this variant as the others, however it is hugely popular with players as it often has prizes for multiple different lines. It is played on a 5×5 card and just like the others the ultimate aim is to fill your card for a Full House.
75 Ball Pattern:
This is the style of bingo most commonly played in North America. Here you have a 5×5 card with only one space – the central square – which is called a Free Space. The aim of the game is to make different patterns on your card by matching the called numbers. These are usually in the form of lines, but they can be horizontal, vertical and diagonal. Of course, like all bingo games filling your entire card first leads to the Full House and hopefully a big wad of cash!
You can play all these bingo variants online, and the great thing is that they don’t cost the earth to have a go: many games can be played from as little as a few pence per card. Games usually start every few minutes, so there is no waiting around either. Have a go today and see what bingo style works for you.
