After the critical reception that Red Steel received as a launch title for the Wii, I believe that there are going to be a lot of skeptics for Red Steel 2. This first trailer, just released by Ubisoft does show off a beautiful graphical style…and perhaps with MotionPlus, Red Steel 2 will be able to surpass our wildest dreams. What do you think? Does Resident Evil 5 have you thirsty for a game that’s actually scary?  Have the recent detours in the Alone in the Dark and Silent Hill series left something to be desired, with your underpants a little too dry?  Takashi Shimizu, the director of the or original Japanese Grudge movies (Ju-on), is hard at work on a Wii adaptation being called The Feel. For some chilling video of the hair raising game, click continue. Read more… »

turtlesintimeheader1The 25th Anniversary Tour for the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles is making its rounds throughout the United States, and along with it comes a demonstration for a remake that could be for the most popular TMNT game ever. We’ve got one screenshot, and what platforms it will likely be seeing.

In early April, Nintendo’s President Satoru Iwata said that “the Wii is in the most unhealthy condition since it hit the Japanese market”.  By looking at figures from Gama Sutra this is clearly the case.  For the second month in a row, the PS3 has outsold the Wii in Japan.

iwata2Saturu Iwata has been making quite a few comments recently, perhaps after his GDC keynote, the President of Nintendo Japan is feeling a bit more relaxed when it comes to speaking with the public. Either way, he made some quotes regarding catering to all of their customers that may just be a tiny bit of salvation for all of their “hardcore” customers. It’s not a short statement, so take just a few minutes to read.

Just a few short hours ago we learned that you’ll be going to the wild west in order to complete your journey, cowboys with swords as it were. There are some interesting tidbits for those of you excited about dual weilding a sword, and a gun…

The environmental sustainability of the game industry is one which has largely been ignored. The power required to run the next-gen consoles is staggering and the waste produced from the games themselves is disgusting. A solution needs to be found.

I’ve lived in Tornado Alley all of my life, and have been under too many Tornado Warnings to really count them properly. I love the movie Twister, and have always wondered if they could do a proper tornado survival game. I guess Konami is going to give it a whirl. Get it, whirl…wind?

gamerlimitmarvelvscapcom2At this point in the console wars, Nintendo fans have probably come to expect this sort of news. Although it is incredibly disappointing, the blame should really not be focused toward Capcom, instead Nintendo should be held accountable for their little magic white box.

This year shall be the year of software, or so many people say. With all three consoles at least two years into their cycles, a lot of information about the games we’ll being playing on them will come out of E3 this year. Each of the big three console makers are marking their territory and are all claiming that they’re going to kick some serious ass this year. Check out what each of them had to say in their ESA press releases. By the way, did you know GamerLimit is sending five journalists to E3 this year?

EA have released some new screenshots for Dead Space Extraction, the game that is set to bring the joys of destroying horribly disfigured enemies limb by limb… by limb to the Nintendo Wii later this this year. Unlike the first game in the series, which didn’t make it to the Wii, Extraction is a first-person, on-rails shooter. Whether it will live up to its predecessor remains to be seen, although, judging by these, it is certainly looks the part.

It hasn’t been officially announced yet, however, earlier this morning was taking pre-orders for Guitar Hero: Van Halen.  It also had an ultra specific release date of July 28, 2009. However, this has since been taken down and replaced with the usual Guitar Hero titles.  What is that sneaky Activision up to this time?
