This is a bit of shameless self promotion, but I thought I would share the news that my long awaited car chase machinima film Collateral Collision that I have been working on is finally complete. And in good time too, considering that it has been nearly a year in the making.

Collateral Collision is the result of a huge collaborative effort from the Live For Speed (an online PC racing simulation) community, along with my dedicated passion for movie car chases. The aim was simple – to deliver the most authentic representation of a movie car chase that was physically possible within the realms of a machinima film.

As a result, Collateral Collision was a hugely ambitious project, with incredibly long filming times and editing sessions. Not a second that you see has been overlooked and every sound you hear has been meticiously dubbed from other sources. To say the least, a tremendous amount of effort has been put into this project, in terms of both the filming and the editing.

You can watch the film in its entirety after the break.

Infinity Ward has officially posted the very first multiplayer footage from Modern Warfare 2 on YouTube.  This new video showcases the game’s “AC130 killstreak reward”, which after killing 11 people straight, allows you to man an AC130 gunnery station and rain fire down upon your enemies.  The footage also teases the viewers with the first glances of some of the new multiplayer maps.

While the single player gameplay that has been shown so far looks great, this multiplayer footage is what most players have really been looking forward to, and it doesn’t disappoint. Do I really need to say anything else?  This is what we’ve all been waiting for, so hit the jump to see the new video in all its glory. Fans of the Halo series will be delighted to hear the news that an anime is being created based on the universe that has spawned three superb FPS games and a bold venture into the realms of RTS. Further to this, of course, there will be two new instalments of the franchise with Halo: Reach preceded by Halo 3: ODST later this year.

The latter title has been tried and tested at Comic-Con 2009, while the anime – entitled Halo Legends - has a gorgeous new trailer to gasp at. Hit the jump for the trailer and some sneaky over-the-shoulder gameplay footage from ODST.

Creators of the highly praised Castle Crashers, The Behemoth, had quite an interesting showing at Comic Con 2009. They showed off new footage of their upcoming game, titled only as “Game #3“. Halo has been through many changes since it’s debut announcement back at MacWorld on July 21st, 1999.

Originally designed as an RTS for PC and Macs, shortly after it was changed to a third person shooter… then in 2000, Microsoft picked it up, and took it on the path that we all know.

Ah, the special edition issue raises its ugly head again… or does it? Well, no. Looking at this figurine for EA’s upcoming heavy metal action adventure Brütal Legend, however, makes us wish it had.

The statue, which measures in at 17-inches tall, was scuplted by Mark Newman and painted by Tom Vukmanic, and looks like something that deserves shelf space cleared for. The bad news: there are just 1,000 of them knocking about. The good news: they may be very easy to win.

Hit the jump for information on how to win, a photo and, just for kicks, twenty-two minutes of Tim Schafer talking over gameplay footage for the game.

Clones are pretty freaking sweet, eh? For those of you who aren’t in the know, Dead Fantasy is a fan-service machinima that pits Final Fantasy heroes against characters from Tecmo’s Dead or Alive.

This episode is all about Yuna versus Kasumi. Hit the jump for clones, summons, and more clones, with a bonus pinch of Cloud Strife!

Yet another crazed gaming marathon for charity has begun, but this time it’s even more epic then the much loved MGS 1-4 playthrough.

The Speed Gamers are attempting to play through EVERY Final Fantasy (excluding 11 for obvious reasons).

Last month, Greyscale Gorilla started a competition to see who could create the most unique and entertaining retro gaming 5 second video.
