I have a great privilege to be a part of the xbox.com forums, I see many community managers from different development houses interact with people on the forums, take some feedback and just relax and have fun with fans of their game.  After Robert Bowling [Community Manager of Infinity Ward] made an announcement that a set of playlists were going to come via an update for Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, many of us anticipated the new playlists and waited for weeks onto months before coming to the realization that the playlists were never going to happen.  When one of the posters asked as to why there aren’t any DLC for CoD4, Rober replied:

Activision a publisher that loves sequels has announced a new line up of true sequels to come.  One of the major announcements was Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 which is being developed by Infinity Ward.  No surprise here since Modern Warfare was such a huge success.  Amongst other titles Activision has also announced sequels such as Guitar Hero V, a not yet titled Tony Hawk game and some other news about Bizarre Creations new project an original IP racing game that mixes a few familiar idea such as “Forza meets Mario Kart.  MTV Blog has also learned of a rumor that Bizarre is working on a racing game based on the James Bond universe.

Burnout Paradise Review

At the start of this year the first true “next-gen” Burnout was delivered to us. Anyone familiar with the franchise knows what to expect from Burnout, but for the newcomers here’s a rundown. Burnout Paradise places you in the fictional Paradise City, home of Burnout driving. The game is essentially a sandbox, a first for the series, and the entire world is open from the start of the game.

Dynasty Warriors Gaiden On The Way?

We’ve all been wondering what would become of Tecmo after the departure of Tomonobu “Rockstar” Itagaki. It’s widely believed that Itagaki saved the company way back in the 90′s when he created the Dead or Alive series of fighting games. Since then his dev group “Team Ninja” has kept Tecmo afloat with perennial sequels and remakes in the DOA series and, of course, the odd Ninja Gaiden game.

Whatever was Tecmo to do without their star developer pumping out hits for them? The answer is obvious. Merge with Koei of course. Read more… »

The PS3 Turns 2. Cause For Celebration?

Sony’s Playstation 3 celebrated it’s second birthday yesterday. Well, technically it was released on November 11th 2006 in Japan, but it didn’t hit many other territories until the 17th, 2 years ago, so for that reason, Sony is calling the 17th the PS3′s official 2nd birthday. Two years ago Resistance: Fall of Man was release was premier launch title for the Playstation 3. It was the one must have for PS3 owners for several months after the launch. To most who played it, the story was engaging, the gameplay was solid and multiplayer held its ground. 2 years later Insomniac Games is eagerly ready for the release of its sequel.
