batman history

In preparation for next week’s arrival of Batman: Arkham Asylum, Eidos release a new trailer detailing the history of Arkham’s loony bin.

While the trailer doesn’t show much gameplay, it’s not really a problem considering a demo is out of the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. As someone who has played the demo, let me say, I can not recommend it enough. The combat is fluid and exciting, the atmosphere is iconic of Batman, and the stealth aspect really makes you feel like the Caped Crusader. For a more in depth discussion of the demo, check out episode 13 of GamerLimit’s Limitcast.

If you own a PS3 and you haven’t played any of the games in the Rachet and Clank Future series, you are doing yourself a disservice.  Not only are they extremely fun to play, they are also hilariously funny, and a visual treat for the eyes.  So far, Insominiac has released two games for the franchise, and they are gearing up to release the third installment this Fall, Rachet and Clank Future: A Crack in Time.

Until now, details about the story of this next chapter in the series have been scarce.  That has all changed, now that Insomniac has released the first official story trailer for the game.  To see the official trailer, and to find out more about the game, hit the jump. Read more… »

The latter title has been tried and tested at Comic-Con 2009, while the anime – entitled Halo Legends - has a gorgeous new trailer to gasp at. Hit the jump for the trailer and some sneaky over-the-shoulder gameplay footage from ODST.

One of the most highly-acclaimed showings at E3 came from Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Conviction. It was arguably the game that, more than any other, went from zero to a hundred on the “do want” scale during the conference. But, if that wasn’t enough to whet your appetite, perhaps you should hit the jump and watch as Sam Fisher destroys a bathroom with somebody’s head and declares war on everybody.

What are you waiting for? Hit the jump – he’ll only end up sneaking up behind you, anyway.

The Japanese gaming media received a new Resonance of Fate (also titled End of Eternity in Japan) trailer from Sega today.

Mmmm: Mario games. We just can’t get enough! I still remember the first day I walked 4 blocks to my friend Evan’s house to play Super Mario World for the first time. Even after experiencing Super Mario 64, I can still safely say Super Mario World is still my absolute favorite.

It looks like Super Mario Omega will be delivering that same insane fun factor. According to the developer, Higsby0, it’s been in development for 2 years. Follow the story for the official trailer! Read more… »

In a rather unusual move, Ignition Entertainment announced that Muramasa: The Demon Blade would be released in the US without English voice-acting.

Ignition Business Development Director Shane Bettenhausen was quoted as saying, “…trying to dub it, trying to make something more Western is really not a service to the product…who wants some goofy anime voices in this game?”
