Critter Crunch has finally arrived this week, and is a must-have for those who enjoy puzzle-type games. The final Fallout 3 expansion packs have also made it to the PSN, as well as DLC offerings for IL2 Sturmovik: Bird of Prey and Dirt 2. Lastly, the newest edition of Pulse is out this month, as well as your usual fare of game trailers, themes and Rockband/Guitar Hero downloadable tracks.

The PSP update is quite small however,  with NBA 10 THE INSIDE and NBA LIVE 10 being the only PSP games released. It’s a surprising update as while the EU store continues to get many new PSP games every week, the US seems to have stopped already in its second week. This in turn does not bode well for PSP-Go owners.

PSP Minis also make a triumphant return – who could resist the lure of Yummy Yumm Cooking Jam?

Remember Oddworld Inhabitants star Abe, the friendly neighborhood Mudokon?  He’s back!

Just announced, the original PlayStation classics Oddworld: Abe’s Oddysee and Oddworld: Abe’s Exoddus are being ported to the PlayStation Network on October 21,  2009.  That’s my 23rd birthday!  But that’s probably just a coincidence.

In what must be the most substantial Store update to date, this week sees the launch of the PSP Go, and with it comes a slew of downloadable content ready for consumption straight out of the box. As a result, this week’s update is overwhelmed with PSP content, with a whole host of full games and the introduction of “Minis,” which are bite sized mortals of fun.

For those who are more PS3 adept, Sony hasn’t forgotten about you as there are a number of playable demos, including Need For Speed: Shift and the rocking Brutal Legend, along with special offers and further downloadable content such as the Watchman costume pack for LittleBigPlanet.

This week’s update can be found in full after the break, if you can stomach it.

This week’s update has been somewhat overshadowed by the good and not so good events of the Tokyo Games Show.

On the plus side, there are some playable demos for Lost Planet 2 and Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2, a host of discounts on some of those overpriced Guitar Hero tracks we’ve all been avoiding so far and a satisfactory batch of downloadable content, including the Broken Steel pack for Fallout 3.

This week’s PSN Store update can be read in full after the break.
