Anyone who preorders Sony’s inFamous at Gamestop will be in for a little surprise when they finally get their hands on a copy of the game. Those of you who put down a deposit for inFamous will get an exclusive promo code that gives Cole (the main character) the Gigawatt Blades power.

When this ability is used, it gives Cole a pair of electrically powered blades that enables him to deal out 1-slash-kill attacks to anyone that gets in his way. If you do choose to use the Gigawatt Blades, the game won’t be much of a challenge, however it will make you look badass.

Free games. Everyone likes free stuff, and we all like games. So, naturally it would be logical to assume that we also like free games. Trouble is, as the saying goes, “nothing’s free” — and to a point, it’s true. To compound the sad realization that nothing’s really free, most “free” things are typically not worth having. Even though Final Fantasy XIII is a multi-platform title, the main interest remains squarely on the PlayStation 3 version. Simply because the series has been focused around Sony for so long now. Does Gaming Need Sequels?
By: | March 25th, 2009

Does gaming need sequels? There are quite a few reasons for “no”, but my main one would be that sequels take the originality out of gaming: eventually leaving it dry. Franchises like Halo, Metal Gear Solid and Pokémon: these eliminate the creative gaming rainbow and replace it with just a single colour; that colour is beige. It’s tough to like beige.

The Japanese are doing it again, seemingly turning an idiotic idea into an awesome looking game. In Gomibako you have to stack garbage and clear it using the weight of upcoming garbage and power ups (think Tetris, but with garbage).

Two new trailers were released yesterday for the upcoming superhero sandbox game ‘inFamous’, while graphically they look pretty damn impressive I’m not entirely convinced that the game is going to be good.
