How does The Heart of Darkness, Apocalypse Now, and Homefront correlate with one another?

From the modernist writer to the Vietnam War screenwriter to the video game developer, people’s interactions with books, movies, and video games are beginning to take an evolutionary turn.  John Milius, screenwriter for Apocalypse Now, transposed Joseph Conrad’s mind boggling novella, The Heart of Darkness, to the big screen in 1979.  Fast forward thirty years into the future, THQ has recently signed John Milius to write the story for their new video game, Homefront.  THQ’s internal developer, Kaos Studios, is in the beginning stages of  the new first person shooter.

Don’t panic! It is not December, you haven’t fallen into a coma and woken up on Boxing Day; much loved plasticine duo Wallace and Gromit now appear in video game form. Telltale Games, creators of the new Sam and Max Adventures and Strong Bad’s cool game for attractive people have released a point and click adventure based on Nick Park’s award-winning, stopmotion-animated films.

The first installment tested here deals with the dark issue of steroid and growth hormone use in farming…..bee farming.

The MMORPG world is a volatile beast. With dozens of MMOs released each year, gamers are forced to wade through the not – so – good games to the true gems hidden in the mire. On top of that, release dates are finicky, some games are stuck in limbo for months after the predicted launch date, and some never make it to beta at all.

I’ve devised a list of  5 MMOG/RPG titles planned to launch (“planned” being the keyword here) in 2009 that look to be the most promising. Hopefully these games can give any jaded WoW players out there something else to look forward to when even Hello Kitty Online seems tempting.

There is a mysterious force only known as T-Energy that supplies the magic throughout all of Arcania. Originally this power was only controlled by the Seraphim, but they allowed the High Elves access to this great, mysterious power. With time, the High Elves grew to be the most powerful race in Arcania.

A problem arose though, as two factions of High Elves began warring with each other for ultimate control of the T-Energy. Now a war wages throughout all of Arcania, and you must decide if you will walk the path of light to save this world, or if you’ll walk the path of darkness and destruction. This begins the story of Sacred 2: Fallen Angel.
