Braid, the best selling Xbox Live Arcade game of 2008, and highest rated Arcade Game on Metacritic, has given Johnathan Blow great success. Now, gamers are left wanting more. Not necessarily more Braid, but more of the ingenuity that the game has brought to the market. Read more… »

Metallica may be limiting most of their touring to Europe these days, but they have graciously decided to share the full Guitar Hero songlist with everyone.  If you haven’t been following the games development, the game feature about 60% Metallica songs and 40% songs by musicians they admire.

Len Wiseman in a recent interview with Bloody Disgusting released a few interesting tidbits relating to the Gears of War Movie he is directing.

As I’m sure any gamer will tell you, Resident Evil 5 is one of the most, if not THE most anticipated game of 2009. Set to release on Friday the 13th in March, Capcom has tremendous hype to face after its predecessor was voted game of year by Spike TV, Nintendo Power, Game Informer and even Japan’s ultra-critical Famitsu, and has even landed at number one of IGN’s Top 99 Games of All Time list. However, with the RE5 demo release just one mere week away, many gamers are turning off the lights, cranking the sound, and screaming like six-year-old girls in frightened preparation. And let me tell you, this little six-year-old girl needs direct injections of RE5 into his veins.

MMO Judgement Day closing in?
By: | January 23rd, 2009

It seems that Anime isn’t the only new venue being considered in the epic struggle to dislodge Blizzard from it’s MMORPG throne.  It appears that Halcyon Games have hinted that the Terminator franchise is an “interesting space” to consider development of an MMO.

In Katamari Damacy, the player rolls a giant ball in order to accrue items, and become bigger than the Earth. In Noby Noby Boy, the player eats items and stretches, to become the biggest…er..worm, ever! The game was supposed to have a worldwide release of January 29th on the PSN, but is instead pushed back to February 19th. The good news? The game is $5! Read more… »

Another day, another home-brew game in development. Stick this up your exhaust pipe and smoke it: developers are brewin’ up a Mario Kart game using Half Life 2′s source as a basis. The game is going to be released for free, and has exact character models and stages from various Mario Kart games. Read more… »

A demo has recently been made available for F.E.A.R. 2 Project Origin, the sequel to the critically acclaimed F.E.A.R. The demo takes you through one level with a chilling and creepy layout and features a collection of weapons which are available for both singleplayer and multiplayer game modes.

So it’s finally happened. The MMO genre has gotten so godforsakenly large that every game developer/publisher and their mothers think they can produce a smash hit and rake the mounds of cash in. And its hard to argue with them. With World of Warcraft breaching the 11 million players mark just a couple weeks back and competitors such as Warhammer Online, Lord of the Rings Online, and Star Wars: The Old Republic on the horizon, its no surprise a lot of companies are trying their hand at competing with the best.

However, as time has shown, the beast that is WoW will not go down easily, if it ever does. Yet, Namco Bandai (huh?) is taking their turn with hopes that a predominant anime series cultivates enough of a following to give them an edge over Blizzard. The series? Dragonball.

If you haven’t played Meat Boy yet, here’s a taste of what Super Meat Boy might be like. The game is an odd-ball 2d adventure, and is set to be released as a WiiWare title. There isn’t much to say about this title except that when it comes out, it will be insanely popular. Read more… »
