The downloadable online futuristic shooter Blacklight: Tango Down was released last week, and now we’ve got an opportunity for you to take the battle online absolutely free. We have one copy of the game to give out to a lucky winner, and you’ve got not one but two opportunities to win!

The Contest

Heroes of Newerth features a wide variety of heroes for players to utilize and take control of the map. From stealthy, magical creatures, to brute force Rambo tactics, we’re giving you the chance to design your own Heroes of Newerth Hero!

Of course, your hero won’t be featured in the game, but we can all dream, right? So let us know what you think the perfect Hero for Heroes of Newerth should play like, and you could find in your possession that shiny, slicey, dicey key I was telling you about before.

The Details

In order to enter the competition for the Heroes of Newerth closed beta key giveaway, you’ll need to be a registered member of Gamer Limit. It only takes like a second and you get to hang out with the likes of us. While you don’t know it yet, you have an extreme desire to lambaste resident senior writer Kevin Miller. But wait, there’s more!

Make sure you use a valid email address when you sign up, as invites have to be mailed to you. If you can’t receive our emails, you’re going to be a sad panda when you win.

The contest will run from February 18th until noon CST on February 21st, which is Sunday. All submissions between this time period will be voted on by staff, and the winners will be announced later on the 21st during the Weekly Recap.

Wait…what?

WiiWare fans rejoice, for you are not forgotten! Ghostfire Games has announced a new contest for their latest title, Rage of the Gladiator, that offers a unique – and pretty damn cool – prize.

The developer has challenged its gamers to a race. That’s right, a global race where the first players from Europe and North America to screenshot their accomplishments will have their name emblazoned across children’s foreheads made part of Ghostfire Games’ next title.

To finish the game, you need to do three things:

1. Defeat every boss in the game

2. Defeat them again on Challenge Mode. This is quite challenging since the bosses have all-new powers, abilities, and are fast and tricky.

3. Then, on top of that, you need to defeat each of these bosses with a Rank of A or better, which is super tough.

If you aren’t the first gamer to cross the proverbial finish line, don’t fret. Ghostfire Games is also giving away a badass set of armor and weaponry to a randomly selected player who finishes the game within four weeks of its release.

An estimated 20-40 hours will be involved to complete Rage of the Gladiator in its entirety, depending on your level of badassness.
