Earlier this week, Capcom accidentally released Resident Evil 4 on the Japanese App Store. Capcom today confirmed on their twitter account that Mobile: RE4 will, indeed, be getting a world-wide release, with the Japanese getting the first release at the end of july.

Kotaku spotted this awesome giveaway from Capcom at the coming Comic-con, it’s a Resident Evil shirt that has a ‘secret’.

Today Capcom announced that re-release of Marvel vs. Capcom 2 will hit Xbox Live Arcade Wednesday, July 29. While there is currently no firm release date for the PS3 version, Capcom’s Twitter states, “PSN date to be announced soon.”

The classic team based fighting game features comic book and videogame characters duking it out. Some characters included are: Ryu (Street Fighter series), Wolverine (X-Men), Morrigan (Darkstalkers series), and Iron Man. Read more… »

Getting a Rise Out of the Dead
By: | June 30th, 2009

I recently finished my first playthrough of Dead Rising for the Xbox 360.  I know that I’m coming to the party a little late, but after playing the game, it’s better than not turning up at all.  I can comfortably say that it was one of the most entertaining and challenging experiences on my home consoles.

Not because it was one of the best looking games or had the best gameplay, but it captured the heart of the B zombie genre without skipping a beat.  I pray to the zombie gods above that they keep that spirit alive in Deadrising 2. Read more… »

I wish there were more to write about this, but the teaser site is so blunt, that I’ll just get right to the point. Capcom has put up a teaser site. The entirety of the teaser is showing the number “1650″, then crossing it out and showing the number “1573″ in bigger letters, which also float around mysteriously.

Seriously. I wish I could make up stuff like this.

Those hoping to download and get stuck into the Lost Planet 2 demo that was rumored to be arriving around E3 time will be no doubt still feeling a little disappointed by its total no-show. If you are one of these people, Capcom could be about to try and ease your pain by finally releasing a demo that could include 4-player co-op. Or… could they?

Announced yesterday afternoon, Capcom’s Marvel vs Capcom 2 is being pushed back to the end of July this year. In what appeared to be a rumor circling around about a release date for June 29, a Twitter update cleared the air about the official release date for MvC2.

MvC2 is not actually coming out on June 29, sorry guys. Not sure where that rumor came from, but it’s going to be closer to the end of July.Read more… »

For those few who are somehow yet to play the original Resident Evil, you’re in luck. As an eccentric bunch of fans over on the Capcom Unity Blogs have taken it upon themselves to recap it, clay-animation style.

Capcom’s Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 is rapidly approaching its glorious re-release on XBox Live Arcade and the Playstation Network. As they did before with Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo: HD Remix, Capcom is releasing episodic hype trailers.

The first one just came out today, so check it out! My only gripe is the lack of Joe Esposito which was tastefully incorporated into the STHD trailers. Video after the jump!

Now that Marvel vs Capcom 2 is officially coming to the Xbox Live Arcade and the Playstation Network, what about the Wii? Samurai Showdown Anthology is great but it can’t compete with Street Fighter IV or the upcoming King of Fighters XII, so there isn’t much on the console to keep fighter loving Wii only owners happy.

Until Fall 2009 that is.

Nintendo Power stated that “it couldn’t be done,” but Tatsunoko vs Capcom is coming to North America. What’s more, strange control scheme aside, its the best fighter on the Wii. Read more… »

With an astounding slew of games offered by Capcom, including the first mystery game being revealed as Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Ultimate All Stars exclusively for the Wii, its hard to believe that one mystery game still exists, waiting till the time is right to make a grand appearance. In the meantime, however, come take a look at the vibrant and exotic atmosphere that is Lost Planet 2. Read more… »

Everyone has been on the edge of their seat for more details regarding Capcom’s Dark Void. Will it become a new, sucessful IP similar to Lost Planet? Or, will it in fact be justLost Planet with a jetpack”?

Honestly, after playing the game, I can safely say it’s the latter. Read more… »
