I think the benefit of being an olnnie only game is the control on piracy. These kind? of olnnie games don’t get as pirated as the usual PC game would. It gets annoying, but I can understand why developers would do it. When your only choices are to play between a pirated russian server with 100 people olnnie or the official server, most people tend to choose the latter. That being said, I really enjoyed the video (please marry me, no homo <3) and I hope we get to play together once it comes out.
