While there was DLC included with pre-orders of Dragon Age II, Legacy is the first major story driven bit of additional content for the game since it was launched. According to Bioware, Legacy will have the player leave Kirkwall to explore new areas and “uncover the harsh truth about the Hawke lineage.”
There are also supposed to be new enemies, new environments–including a Grey Warden prison–and a new weapon. Hopefully these new environments won’t be made up of reused assets from Dragon Age II which was a common complaint about the game.
Say what you will about DLC, but I’m excited. Bioware has a track record of putting out some worthy downloads. I’m looking at you, Lair of the Shadow Broker. While Dragon Age II divided fans, I enjoyed it, and I can’t wait to explore more of the Free Marches with my warrior Hawke. Legacy will cost 800 Xbox Points and $9.99 on PSN.
