Gamer Limit spent last week covering the latest news and industry developments surrounding E3 2011 straight from Los Angeles. From the big press conferences to the E3 show floor in the Los Angeles convention center, we provided you with the latest news and personal impressions from hands-on previews of exciting new titles.

Now that all the hustle and bustle is over, join us after the break for our personal favourites of E3 2011.

Alex Y: Warhammer 40K Space Marine – I’m a long time fan of the Warhammer 40K table top game and the RTS’s Relic has made in that universe. The prospect of being on the front lines with the Ultra Marines was enough to get me excited when the game was first announced. After checking out the gameplay footage, I’m completely sold on the idea and can’t wait to carve my way though Orks with my trusty chainsword.

Chirs C: Vita - I can’t wait to try out the combination of touch interface and tactile buttons. Sony has a chance of halting Apple’s gigantic momentum and market share, but unless they rectify some of their mistakes made with the PSP, they’ll be doomed to repeat history.

Kevin M: Sports, probably.

Shawn E: SSX - I still remember buying the PS2 and a copy of SSX the day the system launched. I played that game, and it’s two sequels, for hundreds upon hundreds of hours in college, so the series holds a special place in my heart. Seeing the new footage of the next generation SSX made me realize the game is in good hands, and it’s now become my most anticipated game of 2012. I can’t wait to get back on those snowy slopes to shred some powder.

Francisco S: Dead Island actually surprised me. I had lost touch with zombie games and first person games. I’ve played the recent installments of Resident Evil and Left 4 Dead and Dead Rising. They just felt all trite after a while. Dead Island, however, has brought me back in a big way after my hands-on. The RPG element mixed with the lush graphics and the treatment of coping and survival is top notch. I have high hopes for this title. Don’t fail me Techland.

Bobby H: Mass Effect 3 for me. I have high hopes for it. Plus I can’t wait to be my totally awesome Renegade Shep again and slap some Reapers silly.

Kyle M: Ehhh. I can’t choose. I was going to say Space Marine or SSX but Shawn and Alex stole them from me. Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City was pretty cool. I’m really looking forward to that.

Chris B: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim gameplay looked amazing, even on the Xbox 360 (which I’ll be playing it on this time around). The scale and detail of the environments they showed was incredible; I can’t wait to create my character and just get lost in that world. Oh and DRAGONS.

Dragons indeed. Now that we’ve shared our favourite games of E3 with you, we’d like to know what got you excited this year. Hit up the comments and share your thoughts and opinions.
