After a week of constant lower back pain I am finally able to sit back and play some more games! Tonight, after the plethora of news about Dark Souls, I have decided to dive back into one of my favorite games: Demon’s Souls. Please join me as I die many, many times and hopefully kill me some demons.

Update: This game never fails to draw me in. Tonight it was a six hour gaming session and was worth every minute. Demon’s Souls is hands down one of the best games I have ever played. While it can be frustrating at times, the sheer amount of rewarding moments that fill this game makes it more than worth it. Hit the jump to check out the latter 4 hours. Otherwise, enjoy the first two above.

So this was a “new game”? I’m liking that heavy sword, looks like Pyramid heads weapon.

  2. Ah man stupid job, love demon’s souls would have been great to be on for this one.

  3. I remember trumpeting this game at launch, and a few people were very wary of it based off the first few hours.

Once you stick through it, it becomes one of the most fun gaming rituals of all time, and easily something to complete every year (I just beat Demon’s Souls again last month). I can’t wait for Dark Souls, but until then, nice video Kev!

Where do I go after the tower knight?

    • Have you only completed 1-1 and 1-2? If so, move onto 2-1. From what I have gathered, a reasonable progression would be 1-1, 1-2, 2-1, 2-2, 2-3, 3-1, 3-2, 4-1, 4-2, 5-1, 5-2, 1-3, 3-3, 4-3, 5-3, 1-4.

It really depends on your build but I think the above order is good for anyone. If you find yourself struggling though, move onto another area and come back.

Gotcha. I hardly play it so I tend to lose track easily. That and I’m the furthest I’ve ever been in it.

@PS3fanboyNamco is publishing it, doesn’t mean that From Software can’t port their own games. Just like it doesn’t mean that they aren’t dleevoping the 360 version side by side similar to Lords of Shadows, or porting it themselves, similar to Vanquish, etc, etc, etc.Example. Bayonetta, garbage game btw, was developed by Platinum Games and was an extremely sloppy port over to the PS3 by Sega. Vanquish developer Platinum Games stated that this wouldn’t happen for either console and while PS3 was lead platform, they are the ones who did the port over to the 360. Lucky 360 owners that it didn’t happen the other way around, but also lucky PS3 owners because Bayonetta sucks anyways. So From Software could do the same. They could develop both games together, or they could develop the PS3 version and then port the 360 version. Being that they’re working on Armored Core 5 side by side for both PS3 and 360, I’d assume they’re doing the same thing with Dark Souls.VN:R_U [1.9.10_1130]Please log in to rate this commentVN:R_U [1.9.10_1130](from 2 votes)
