What? That was my initial reaction when I read about Valet Parking 1989, the new DSiWare game from Zordix AB. Hit the jump for more details about this “neon lit” game where you “park cars for a living.”
According to the press release, Valet Parking 1989 features a story mode where you are a valet who’s trying to balance demands from crazy celebrities while pleasing your evil boss. There’s also an endless mode for those itching to “play until they drop [trying] to beat their high scores.”
Alright so that description isn’t so crazy if you can get around the fact that it’s a game about parking cars. But here, have some features in bullet-point list form.
Features
- Park and return cars to patience impaired guests.
- Set in a neon lit California 1989.
- Shoulder pads galore.
- Mullets, mullets everywhere!
- Two words, handcuffs and ice cream.
I don’t know whether to be impressed, dizzy with 1980′s excitement, or just plain confused. I think I’ll go turn on some early Van Halen to get me in the proper mood. However it’s only available in Europe at the moment. Anyone out there intrigued enough to get this? Here’s the game’s trailer:

Lemme know how it is. I keep bouncing back and forth between this could be awesome and WTF?
I am pretty sure it is just good ol classic WTF going on here.
Sadly, I haven’t a European DSi.
