While this trailer doesn’t really tell us a lot about the game, it looks like Operation Raccoon City is going to be much more action oriented than past titles in the series. Despite the limited amount of information on the title, comparisons have been drawn between Operation Raccoon City and titles such as Left 4 Dead and Gears of War.

Capcom pioneered the survival horror genre with the release of Resident Evil fifteen years ago, and revolutionized the third-person shooter genre with Resident Evil 4 in 2005. It will be interesting to see how contemporary takes on zombies, survival horror and third person shooters, which all arguably owe something to Capcom’s innovations, will be reflected in Operation Raccoon City as we come to know more about the title.
