Unfortunately, our good buddy Kevin is out of town this weekend, meaning he is unable to write this week’s What are YOU playing? Rather than skip a week, Kevin was good enough to hand the reigns over to me, so I’ll be your humble host for this week’s edition. Think of me as the substitute, only I’m (slightly) less badass than Tom Berenger.

Now that that’s out of the way, lets jump into the meat of this article. What are you guys playing this weekend?

This past week we saw the release of Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days, as well as, Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light. Unfortunately for me, I’m too poor to afford either title. Well, I guess it’s not that unfortunate considering what our very own Michael Carusi had to say about Kane & Lynch. Have you guys had a chance to check out either of these games? If so, what do you think?

For me, this has been a StarCraft II weekend. The crew I play with (my brother and some of our friends) have been tearing up the 4v4 circuit. Hopefully by tonight we’ll be in the platinum league. I’ve been working on my Terran, specifically rush prevention and developing a stronger mid-to-late game. If you guys ever want to jump into a game with me, feel free to drop me a line. My Battle.net ID is Yuenanimous.

Anyway, I’m sure you guys are sick of hearing about StarCraft II, so drop us a line and let us know what you’re playing. Also, if you ever come across a game that you think would be good for our Gamer Limit Game Night, feel free to leave a comment here letting us know or you could always post it on our forums.

I finished playing Ratchet & Clank: A Crack in Time. So now I’ve started up on Red Dead Redemption and Demon’s Souls (man that game is brutal). I’ve also been playing the GBA port of Yoshi’s Island just for the hell of it.

    • If you ever feel like you need help on Demon’s Souls just let me know I still play it off and on and know tons of guys who like giving info and advice to new players.

In other news I am weird this week. Finally getting around to playing the Dragon Age expansion and am doing another playthrough of Deus EX since the trailers for the upcoming third game got me into it again.

I’ve been goofing around with Ninja 5 0, more BC2 and TF2. I started building a new computer this week, all that’s left for me to order is a CPU, RAM, a hard drive, and a disc drive. Counting down for Metroid: Other M

  3. I’m playing drive back to California.

  4. Surprisingly, I’m playing World of Warcraft. My biggest beef with the game has always been the fact that WoW fans tell me there’s tons of cool stuff to do…when you get to max level. Actually GETTING to max level has proven to be some of the most boring gaming experiences I’ve ever had. But, Blizzard does this thing where if two accounts are linked, they get 3x experience for leveling up together. This has made the climb to end-game content manageable, so I guess I’ll fine out if end-game antics are all they’re cracked up to be, finally.

  5. Until Metroid: Other M comes out, the only game I’ll be playing is Starcraft 2. I continue to strive in 1v1 Platinum League and 2v2 Platinum League. My 3v3 and 4v4 isn’t as good thanks to everyone going with cheese strategies.

    • Yeah I hear you man. Yesterday my 4v4 team lose 3 in a row due to lame ass cannon rushes… Normally they aren’t a problem but for some reason my teammates just couldn’t get their shit out fast enough.

  6. Tetris. That game is strangely addictive. Other than that, I’m limited to PC games thanks to my relocation to college.

Just finished GTA IV: Episodes From Liberty City.

(imo) The Ballad of Gay Tony was way greater than any IV or TLAD. Sooo over the top.
