In a recent interview, David Cage, creator of Heavy Rain, mentioned that all upcoming Heavy Rain DLC has been put “on hold” due to his studio shifting focus to developing for the PlayStation Move.
According to Cage: “They are on hold to allow the team to work on Move and on new projects, and I doubt they will ever be produced. I did not want to postpone the work on our next projects spending one more year on Heavy Rain, and given the time and attention we put in developing our games, this is what it would have meant.”
Cage went on to say, “I am really proud of this Move edition and think it will surprise many gamers and show that Move can be used for things other than family entertainment,” however “Now as a writer and director, would I have preferred to work on the three Chronicles I wrote? Guess.”
In case you were under a rock for all of E3, PlayStation Move is slated to hit North America on September 19. The Move controller will cost $49.99, with the optional Navigation controller adding on an extra $29.99. The Move supported edition of Heavy Rain is currently on track to hit retail in October.
What do you guys think of this? Would you rather have more Heavy Rain DLC or a Move supported Heavy Rain? Is Move a big selling point for you guys?
