If you guys are anything like me, you’ve been eagerly anticipating Blue Castle’s sandbox zombie bashing title Dead Rising 2. Unfortunately for gamers looking to get their pitchfork shotgun on, today Capcom announced that Dead Rising 2 has been delayed.

Originally slated to arrive August 31 on the PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, DR2 is now set to hit North American stores on September 28. European gamers looking to crack some zombie skulls will have to wait until October 1.

As of right now, Capcom has yet to say why there is a delay, only offering the line, “We are happy to confirm today that… Dead Rising 2, is set for release across North America on September 28, 2010.” Many are speculating that is has something to do with the Xbox 360-exclusive “downloadable prologue” titled ‘Case Zero.’ What adds a little more confusion into the mix is that Capcom has yet to announce when Case Zero will be released.

Personally, I’m alright with this delay. As I’ve said in the past, I’m cool with game delays, so long as the extra time is utilized to make the game better. Another reason I’m not too upset about this delay is that I now get to play DR2 a little closer to October (the spookiest month of all). Maybe I’m weird but there is just something about October that make all horror related things ten times better.

Enough of my stupid musings. What do you guys think about this? Are you cool with this delay? Is DR2 on your radar? On a side note, do you agree with my thoughts on October being the spookiest month of all?

I’m fine with the delay, although i’m slightly upset due to the fact that i have been looking forward to this game for the first intiation of hearing about it 2 years ago!I want to know what ur perspective on the matter of the game is as far as are u in anyway at all concerned about a demo other than (case zero),coming to the systems?u know the one they’ve been showing for month’s even before e3.i just want to try the demo it’s self.apparently though no one at capcom can give me a straight foward answer as to wether or not that there will be a demo for psn or xbox for the fact of that matter.i only keep hearing about case zero exclusive.case zero is irrelevant to me!i’m a ps3 owner and i want the demo they’ve been showing due to the fact that the original game was set to release back in march and has since bein delayed twice!and every time i try to talk about a demo.all i hear is case zero, case zero is a game all it’s own and i understand why it’s an exclusive.i don’t expect that for ps3 users.but like i said before they’ve showed game play demo month’s before even e3 on both systems.all i want is a taste of that! It seem’s though while we anticipate this release that they are to worried about making a profit off the demo by having little exclusive parties to where u have to pay 3 buck’s to get in the door to try this demo first hand.I’ve waited to long and i just want someone to be able to tell me something relevant to the ? i ask…………i’ve never been this passionate about a game before and i’m just utterly tired of getting ther run around here.

If u can give me any info on what i nagged about.please feel free to e-mail me at mkosack@yahoo.com

  3. Man, can I get a TL/DR?

I’m kidding. Personally, I’m going to play DR2 on my 360, so Case Zero is going to be my demo. I haven’t heard anything about a PS3 demo or just a plain ol’ Dead Rising 2 demo besides Case Zero (which as you mentioned isn’t a demo but a prequel or prologue or whatever Capcom is calling it). If word gets out that there is a demo, I’ll post the news here. Sorry I don’t have a better answer man…

Although I have seen them on other people cars aaywls get questions about my. I love them, they are super cute and they have come in handy. I carpool with my daughter to work / daycare and as it is in the passenger seat back in my windows tinted dark, can not see the passers-bys. It feels like they think I’m cheating when I do not car pool. Ever since I got the stickers (and baby on board sign) I have not had anyone flash me or honk ugly face. The labels were easy to use and very easy to implement.
