As the first title for the iPhone and iTouch, Konami has released a new trailer for Castlevania Puzzle: Encore of the Night.  With the latest title, Konami breaks the traditional mold of the franchise and blends the Super Puzzle Fighter format with RPG elements for your traveling pleasure.

As a gaming platform, the iPhone and iTouch are becoming increasingly popular everyday, and after watching the trailer, I’m impressed at the quality these games are beginning to reach.  What started out as a lavish phone, is becoming more than just a tool, but an entertainment device.  So be on the look out for this jazzy little title.

The story centers on Alucard, the son of Dracula, who must venture through Dracula’s castle and defeat various foes to gain special weapons and abilities that will aid the player’s quest.  Similarly, players can choose to play as or against characters from Symphony of the Night.

This looks like a very promising title for the iPhone and iTouch.
