Gamer Limit Banner

If you’re a gamer on a budget, this month was carefully crafted by evil executives to make you hate everyone and everything. And if you’re one of those people with the disposable income to buy every new title you want, I’m guessing you should keep quiet or the rest of us might form a posse and go Red Dead on your ass.

But with all these awesome games happening in just one month, everyone should be playing something, right!? So let’s hear what you’ll be playing all weekend and maybe, just maybe, we can waste our weekends together. I’ve heard rumors of these people called “friends” tending to do that. It’s worth a try, right?

As for myself, I’ve been insanely addicted to my Wii, which is awkward because I left it untouched for almost a year. But with titles like Bit.Trip Runner (which I mention at every possible opportunity), Monster Hunter Tri, and Super Mario Galaxy 2, it’s done a fine job of keeping me busy and very happy. Even when I have to waggle!

Other than that, I’ve been rocking some 3D Dot Game Heroes and have Red Dead Redemption showing up sometime today, unless the mail people decide to hate me and ruin all my weekend plans. Oh… and I should probably get that Splinter Cell: Conviction DLC too. The coop of that game was like candy for my gaming glands (if such things exist).

That’s it for me… but how about you?

  1. Red Dead Redemption… That is all.

  2. I’m astonished at how many games there are to play right now. It’s the end of May, the summer games drought should be in full swing!

Red Dead Redemption, SMG2, 3D Dot Game Heroes, and those aren’t even the ones I’m reviewing.

  3. Valve has more or less dictated what I’ve been playing recently: with the new achievements for Half-Life 2 and Half-Life 2 Episode One, I haven’t been doing much else. I’m a completionist, what can I say?

Maybe I should pick up SMG2, since I’m at home now and can borrow the family Wii.

  4. If Alan Wake comes today, that’s what I’ll be playing.

Otherwise, I finished my Bear Knife Fight in Red Dead last night (which took me a lot longer than I wanted it to) which helped me finally complete all of the ambient challenges apart from the treasure hunting, so, perhaps some treasure will be hunted soon.

Bad Company 2, and finally playing through Assassins Creed 2. Can’t wait till I box the pope

  8. Doom 2 on Live Arcade. :)

My avatar is sporting the full marine suit award hehe.

  9. Red Dead Redemption mostly, but still hitting up plenty of UFC 2010 and Alan Wake.

Also, EB Australia has some awesome deals going at the moment. I managed to pick up Uncharted 2, Mirror’s Edge, and The Darkness all for around AU$60. Sweet!
