OMG PIKACHU FOREST
By: | April 1st, 2010

If you were lucky enough to snatch up a copy of Pokemon SoulSilver or HeartGold, then you’re all set to get your free “Yellow Forest” DLC, which gives your Pokewalker an extra destination to walk through, and enables you to catch all sorts of regular and rare Pikachu specimen for fun and sport.

All you have to do is select “mystery gift” from your game’s main menu (before play), then select “get via Nintendo WFC”. Boom! Free DLC downloaded to your DS’s cart (compliments of Nintendo Voodoo Magic). All you have to do to enable it is go to any Pokemart, talk to the guy in green, and save your game. Extra unnecessarily long instructions are available on the official website if you’re so inclined. The Yellow Forest will be available to download through May 5th, so get those excuses ready for when your boss asks “is that a tiny Pokeball, and why are you running in circles around the office?”

The verdict is in on Rage of the Gladiator - and it’s great! You can cash in on that nostalgic Punch Out!! greatness by entering in GhostFire’s new Twitter contest, and win a free copy of the game. Here’s what you have to do:

Add them on Twitter (@GhostfireGames) and send the following message:

#rageofthegladiator is available now on WiiWare!  I want Rage of the Gladiator!  My Wii friend code is XXYYZZ! @GhostfireGames

Each person should put in their own individual Wii Friend Code where the XXYYZZ is located. This contest will be running from April 1st through April 15th.  Each day a new winner will be selected.  Players can re-enter the contest every day until they win. More information about the contest is available here: http://www.ghostfiregames.com

Back in 1999, Capcom changed the landscape of survival horror games forever when they released the critically acclaimed hit, Dino Crisis.  While the franchise took a turn for the worse with the two horrendous sequels, Dino Crisis 2 and Dino Crisis in Space, the company hoped to put things back on track when they started developing Dino Crisis 4.

The game was going to be a huge success, but Capcom decided to take out the dinosaurs, replace them with zombies, and relabel it Resident Evil 4, which of course went on to sell a bazillion copies. Well, Capcom has finally realized their mistake, and today they have officially announced that Dino Crisis 4 is back in development and will be coming to the PS3 and Xbox 360 later this year.  To read more about this hugely anticipated title, hit the jump. While everyone is sulking over the latest Linux-shrouding firmware update, the latest PSN Store update has now gone live. There’s a healthy host of downloadable content this week, including the debut episode of Heavy Rain Chronicles and additional content for Army of Two: The 40th Day and Sonic & SEGA Allstars Racing. Retro fans will also be able to salvage some memories from Namco Museum Essentials a mere 9 months after its release on the US Store.

As always, you can find a full rundown of this week’s update after the break.

I’ll be honest: I wasn’t really expecting to see any boobs at PAX East. It’s just, you know, not the first thing that comes to mind when you think “videogame conference.” But thanks to 2K’s Mafia 2, I was woefully mistaken, and the booth’s staff made it a point to make sure that everyone in attendance wasn’t mistaken either.

There is a game involved here, too. I sat down for about twenty minutes with the Mafia 2 demo in Boston, and I found that, while the times may change, boobs are eternal.
