For those of you who don’t know, Battlefield: Bad Company 2 has essentially taken over the lives of many of us here at Gamer Limit. We all adamantly agree that it’s one of the best multiplayer FPSs to come along in a while.
If you feel the same way as we do, you’ll be happy to hear that DICE and EA plan on supporting the game with lots of extra content. According to Eric Brown, EA’s chief financial officer, BF: BC2 will receive an “extensive paid digital content plan with players receiving multiple packs of $5, $10 and $15” over the next six months.
Unfortunately no more details about this paid content have been given, but we do know that by the end of this month there will be two new free maps available for download. This is on top of the two free maps that were available the day the game launched.
Hopefully the new DLC will include more than just maps. New weapons and vehicles would also be great and would make the cost more acceptable. They could even throw a new class in if they really want to get crazy.
I would like to hear from all you fans our there to see if you are interested in this DLC. I know it’s hard to form a good opinion now until official details are released, but does the prospect of spending more money on BF: BC2 excite you or not interest you at all.
The new map pack out end of this month just enables you to play Arica Harbor in Conquest mode and Laguna Presa in Rush mode – why was this not possible from the outset?
At any rate I’m looking forward to anything that expands this fantastic game.

This game fails from it’s own awesome concept. If you are not in a group of skilled players who want to work together and win the objective then you will fail, hard. People playing this game selfishly and for themselves, not capping, not defending, ruined this game for me.
You need to jump into a squad with me and we’ll kick some ass together. You’ll have a completely different view of the game once you are in a match with a team that’s actually playing together as a team.
A lot of people are playing this way, but there are still those who are playing with the Modern Warfare 2 “I can do everything myself” mentality. That might work in MW2, but it doesn’t fly here. People eventually learned how to do this properly in Team Fortress 2, and the same will happen in BF: BC2.
You’re always going to get that in team based games unfortunately, but I found it to be a more apparent problem in MAG to be honest.
Don’t listen to Martin. He just sucks at MAG and is a hater bc of that.
Also, the spawning in this game can at times be, retarded. If your team does not hold any points, and you don’t have a team mate to spawn on. The other team can honestly just spawn camp you at your starting point and just destroy you.

Oh, by the way, since I have the Limited Edition of the game, does this mean that I get all these upcoming DLCs for free? I’d assume so.

I love this game, but I’ve hit the same freaking glitch in two different playthroughs of the single player (at the same point even). It’s soured my entire experience with the game bc I’m so frustrated with the thing.
I honestly turned on the Wii today instead of jumping into a BC2 match before heading to bed. If that’s not anger, I don’t know what is.
I ran into a few points in the BC2 SP that made me want to jump out the window of my man cave. I did end up finishing tho and overall enjoyed it.
But a glitch? Ugh, what part?
I have hardly touched the single player yet… It is really, really far too easy. But seems like a decent plot for now…
TF2 has spoiled me for paid DLC …

TheOnlyJuan No u made the right choice buying it for ps3 because we get updates before 360 plus we don’t have to pay $60 a year to play online (You’d think Bill gates would be rich enough to not jew his customers out like that). By not paying $60 a year sony just bought you bad company 2 for free

Dude forget BFBC 2 man. MW2 is coming out with 5 new maps for 1200 points CALL OF DUTY RULES! The bullet physics are so realistic compared to BF, I mean really my head shot doesn’t count when I aim for the head sometimes WTF. 1200 is a steal man really MW2 > COD
Dude your “headshot” doesnt hit his head when you aim at it because the bullet physics are closer to reality in BF BC 2. Distance and velocity come in to play. If hes far away just aim a little over his head. The round will drop onto target.
BFBC2 feels more natural then MW2. I played them both and it seems like Mw2 is focused on killstreaks and “who ever can pull the trigger faster wins”. BFBC2 has a epic feeling to it with its amzing weapon and explosion sound. You can also be clever in battlefield (not in Mw2 since planting charges next to doors is the only thing you can do) since you dont have to be inthe battle 24/7, you can sneak around and get a few people before someone spots you..then the WHOLE team knows where you are.
Activision is run by a bunch of homos.. EA for the win.. BC2 is awesome in so many ways..

Maps, weapons or new classes would be Fckn azum.
And if we’re going to compare mw2 > bc2 ( have them Both) got My mw2 on its release it was azum before bc2 came out . But now i stick to bc2 , physics in bc2 is the best i’ve seen in a fps game , bullets have gravity.

I think the game rocks, I think it smokes another “supposed top contender” in every department seeing as how the maps aren’t like you are fighting with 30 other people in a freakin’ closet, and the DLC will most definitely make me a happier player. The less restrictive the maps, the more open ended the games, and the more things to use, the better. This will go down in my own personal history book as one of the most awesome games of all times. Like the original Killzone and Socom Combined Assault, which I still play, this one has earned its rightful place next to my PS3!

I honestly done see a need for a new class in MW2 I mean serously… what could DICE possibly add? I mean the 4 classes we have really cover all the bases… in terms of weps I would kill 4 puppies for a auto pistol and a P90! But id do more for golden guns! Also as a DLC we need another sea vehicle… like a inflatable like the navy seals use ya know… Also anyone up for artillery bases?
