Join Chase Cook, Shawn Evans, and myself for the Limitcast’s very first live episode, which – aside from an unscheduled flurry of porn within the first few minutes of the show – is one of our best shows to date. To fill you in, during this week’s opening we’re responding to an unconventional viewer’s efforts to force streaming porn upon our innocent listeners.

Anyway, this week we discuss a number of topics, including Microsoft’s decision to discontinue Xbox Live support for original Xbox titles, the Bad Company 2 demo, and this week’s Gamer Limit Game Night – all while I do my best not to gush about the upcoming Starcraft 2 closed beta.

Also, as mentioned in the show, we’ve a number of Heroes of Newerth beta keys to give away. However, rather than have you e-mail me for a key, just sign up for an account with Gamer Limit and post a comment below. I’ll send your a PM with your beta key.

As always, leave your comments below, hit us up on iTunes, and be sure to tune in on Sunday, February 21st at 6:00PM CST for the our next live show!

  1. Haven’t had a chance to listen to the cast yet, (just got up and leaving for class) but I just had to ask where you got that picture from. It looks like you cut out a piece of a Meatloaf album cover. :)

  2. Good podcast. I enjoyed the discussion about the differences of mature themes found in Dante’s Inferno vs Heavy Rain. While I haven’t played either game yet, Heavy Rain is much more appealing to me due to the fact that its content seems to try and connect emotionally to the gamer; whereas Dante’s Inferno seems to attract an audience through gore and boobs.

    • Definitely pick up the Heavy Rain demo. I’ve played it a few times, trying various methods of success/failure on the QTEs and even though some of the differences aren’t that dramatic, it does feel like, in the longer landscape of the full game, little things like that could play a bigger role.

  3. The thing about Dante’s Inferno though, is that a lot of the game was as grotesque as the poem. In fact, the poem is much more terrifying.

    When you’re going to hell, you better damn well make it as horrific as you can, and I think Visceral did a good job. The demo was awful, but the game was amazing.

    And multiple sources have said that Heavy Rain’s “mature” content is a joke. We’ll see for ourselves in a week.

    I’m also kind of with Shawn on Bioshock 2: it’s the exact same game. And the ending was awful.

    @Demon’s Souls criticism
    You can beat it in like 10 hours if you wanted, and the difficulty isn’t artificial. Just learn how to dodge, and you’re fine.

  4. Excellent show once again, guys. Hopefully I can jump into the TinyChat next week cause it sounded like they were having fun.

  5. Great cast, guys. Less StarCraft, more pr0n.
