The new late 2010/2011 methods of death pouncing, death jockeying, death charging are just new forms of strategy.

the consistent players that continue to play the game must develop new methods to stay entertained.

a good way to look at the death strategies as a survivor? Never go anywhere alone, if you do, stay in sight of another player, and have team members "spawnblock" (spawn blocking is where survivors will place themselves in certain areas where the special infected prefer to spawn to attack other survivors - this prevents them from spawning, making it much more difficult to spawn and attack.

you forgot to add all the map exploits people use consistently as of 2011. The game never used to be played like this but now teams only go for death charges, death pulls, death pounces and then the other team leaves and the game is done. Rince, recycle, repeat... yet people complain about supposive ragers yet take the other team out so there is nobody to play... seems to me they are one and the same.

dude you are right about all go. however, if you have a filler with a long range melee weapon (guitar, axe, katana, chainsaw) and a sniper rifle, you can kick ass. the boomer bile or pipe bomb would kill and adrenaline would be unstoppable. the sniper could save survivors from smokers, chargers, etc. and the melee weapon could save him/her from death. the adrenaline could be used to fill cans quickly or save a friend fast. I tried it with Ellis & the chainsaw and i kicked zombie ass!

Good read. While a lot of it seems like common sense thing, the people I've played with seem to lack the necessary common sense.

The 3 & 1 strategy works really well on the Dark Carnival stage. One guy posts up on block wall surrounding the pool, while the others go can hunting. Makes it difficult for the infected to spawn in prime locations.

Can't wait for part two as well!

I'm so bad at this, I've got a winning ratio of about 15% after having played about 60 games. :(

Looking forward to part 2.
