There are games when you approach a ladder from the top to descend--pressing forward--and as soon as you hop on the ladder the control switches so that you need to press down to descend. I mean in theory that makes sense, but in practice, the typical result is getting on a ladder just to get right back off again. In games where it&#039;s possible to do so, the frustration of attempting to descend ladders with glitchy controls typically drives me to commit lemming-like suicide by simply giving up the damn ladder altogether and jumping to my death.</description>
