Remember when I posted that Ubisoft had announced a new Prince of Persia game? Well today the publisher sent out some more details pertaining to Forgotten Sands.

Arriving on the PC, Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, Nintendo DS, and PSP, the platformer will take place between Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time and Warrior Within. Players will take control the prince as he tries to save his brothers kingdom from utter destruction.

According to Ubisoft Forgotten Sands will feature plenty of “epic wow moments.” The publisher went on to say that the Prince will “discover that great power often comes with a great cost” as he discovers the “new storyline, the introduction of new characters, and new powers over nature and time.”

All versions of the game are slated to arrive May 2010, syncing nicely with Disney’s new Prince of Persia film.

  1. I wonder if this new Prince of Persia will be one huge continuous quick time event like the last game? I got $20 that says it will be.

  2. Terrible. Next please!

  3. If it’s a collectathon again, it just might take the cake as the worst game of all time.

  4. Now, I wonder if it’ll just be a plain old boring Prince of Persia game, or if it’ll take it to a new level of awfulness because its a movie tie-in too.

  5. hmmm with ubisoft pushing for a (near) synchronized release date (don’t care to look up release dates) one can safely assume that one or the other will suffer in quality.
