Splinter Cell: Conviction is shaping up to be one of the must own titles of 2010.  While all the attention so far has been given to the single player campaign, the game is actually going to feature an entirely separate co-op campaign as well.  It’s being described as a prequel to the main Sam Fischer story.

Ubisoft has just released the first trailer highlighting this multi-player campaign, and it looks phenomenal.  You and a friend will take control of two special agents, one Russian and one American, as you try to stop a rogue element of the Russian military from reeking havoc upon the world.  The trailer showcases many of the styles of co-op gameplay you’ll get to experience during the campaign. You can view it now in the video above or download it on the XBLA marketplace..

Splinter Cell: Conviction launches on February 23, 2010 exclusively for the Xbox 360.
