If you’ve been waiting for the PSN exclusive Fat Princess to make its way onto another gaming system.. then wait no further, if you’re a PSP owner. 360 and Wii owners can lament the newest addition to the Fat Princess family, which will debut on the PSP system some time in 2010.
The new title is dubbed Fat Princess: Fistful of Cake and promises to bring the same frantic gameplay you love on your PS3, onto your handheld, but with a few new additional features even owners of the original game can appreciate.
Aside from featuring a new epithet, Fat Princess: Fistful of Cake will also feature six new levels, all of which take place in new environments, such as forests, canyons, and volcanoes. The online multi-player has been cut into a quarter, with only four people available to play on each side, for a total of eight in the game at any point. While the game was undoubtedly cut to better fit on the smaller PSP screen, the original game allowed up to thirty-two players in a game at once, which made for much more frantic action.
In addition to being cut down to size, FP: Fistful of Cake also drops the Villager class from game play, though the other five (Warrior, Mage, Priest, Ranger, and Worker) remain. While the number of players and classes has been shortened, FP: Fistful of Cake will feature four new game modes entitled Grim Ripper, Dilapidated, Demolition and Jailbreak.
Since the original Fat Princess title was released on the PSN network, I’d say it’s a pretty safe bet that you’ll be downloading this title to your memory sticks, or your internal PSPGo memory, if you purchased that thing. You did, didn’t you?
