Naughty Bear

Canadian developers Artificial Mind and Movement – yes, the same company that brought us WET – has announced that their latest foray into the gaming world will involve another left of center premise: a murderous, stuffed bear.

Featuring over 30 levels, crazy weaponry, and plenty of unlockables, A2M believes that their next title will be revered as a “favorite guilty indulgence”.

Hit the jump to read more about the premise.

“Players tired of the same old shoot-’em-up, recycled gameplay are going to get what’s coming to them in Naughty Bear,” said Adam Kline, president of publishing firm 505 Games.

“The all-new scare-based points system introduces a whole new element of fun in Naughty Bear as players win the most rewards for being deviant and maniacal.”

All we know so far is that the game is being developed for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, and will be released sometime in 2010. For now, we’ll just have to wait until the teaser site is completed to find out more.

  1. Can’t be worse than Wet!

After WET, I don’t trust it.

  3. At this point in time, me neither, Chris. Still, a few funky trailers in the future could easily change my opinion.

  4. I don’t want to spread around negativity, but they promised a lot of stuff for WET as well, and look how that turned out :(

  5. Granted i’m with the rest of you because of WET, but still a murdering stuffed bear makes me want to check it out anyway. We’ll just have to wait for more info.

Sounds like it has promise. Unlike you cynics I’m going to wait to see something that makes me think the game is bad, except for just the developer’s name :P

I’m with Paul, sounds a pretty novel idea! Let’s praise the originality for now and slay it once played. :P

  8. So, this is what happens when you connect Skynet to Teddy Ruxpin.

Naughty Bear is an underwhelming name for a game. . . doesn’t do much for me. The premise does sound interesting, however!

Is this going to be a downloadable title?
