Today the parent company Bethesda Softworks and id software, ZeniMax Media, announced that it has obtained the rights to publish id’s upcoming post-apocalyptic shooter/racer Rage.

Originally set to be published by Electronic Arts, Bethesda will now handle all publication duties. This bit of news may come as a surprise considering id and EA penned a deal that allowed EA to publish Rage even after ZeniMax Media bought the developer.

According to the press release, “Electronic Arts Inc. will not be involved in the sales and marketing of RAGE. The ongoing development of RAGE is unaffected by this development.”

Unfortunately Bethesda did not mention when the shooter will arrive on the PC, Xbox 360, and PS3. As soon as more details arrive, you can be sure I’ll post them here on Gamer Limit.

Saul Goode. I looked in vain as soon as I saw it. Also, I saw a seohtrr version than the first one just yesterday afternoon (likely the :15 second spot; the first was at least a :30 second commercial). Don’t remember what I was watching, though .
