I did the exact same thing. <3 the burp. I would eat 20 of them just to annoy my mom...and then proceed to giggle profusely at the 20 minute burp that followed.

> Mr. TenNapel, on the other hand, must have gleaned excessive
> pleasure from knowing that his gamers would be forced to walk
> across dozens of screens in order to collect a necessary piece of
> the puzzle.

You know you can just press "space" and skip the walking...

@5!

My main problem is the excessive nature of those screens. There are countless ways to give a backstory to a game, and in all honesty there would be very few players who would commit themselves to reading that entire mass of dialogue for the purpose of finding a "hint".

I love this game, but it's very hit and miss in parts. Still, a totally memorable experience!

The entire reason for those dozens of screens was to provide the player with the backstory to the game. Certainly it might be excessive to someone who's played it before, but to the uninitiated it's absolutely crucial, and the piece at the end serves as the perfect reward for their patience and interest.

I disagree - the longest burp ever was so funny to me that I replayed it to all my friends when they visited... each to their own I suppose ;-)
