Want to relive the glory days of the shoot ‘em up genre, but with modern graphics? Well, you’re in luck! We have a single, solitary copy of Ion Assault that needs to go.
All you have to do to get a copy is state what your all time favourite Shoot ‘em up is.
[Awaiting confirmation before announcing winner]
This Wednesday, Gamer Limit staff members will choose 1 random poster, and if you are chosen you will win yourself a copy of Ion Assault. It’s that simple.
If you haven’t heard of the game, check out our full review here.
“Ion Assault is an enjoyable game, but it’s way too short to warrant the $10 price tag.”
Good luck!

Unreal Tournament 3
Raiden II.
(^ I don’t think UT3 is a shoot em up. Shooter yes, not shoot em up)
I’m still a Geometry Wars II fanboy!
Zero Wing on the Megadrive. That was awesome.
wait no… actually “Space Invaders” cause it’s a Classic.
Beat. Hazard.
Go get it right now for $5 on Xbox Live Indie Games!
I’m part of the Geometry Wars 2 crowd. Great game.
Asteroids . . . wait, does that count? lol
Ikaruga. Interesting mechanic, and co-op, what more could I ask for?
Action Fighter, not because it’s really that good, but because it was one of the very first games I played.
In past Ikaruga DC then Ikaruga GCN and finally now Ikaruga XBLA

I agree with the Ikaruga people. Far and away the best shooter ever.
I too am on the Ikaruga bandwagon. Although, I’m terrible at shoot ‘em ups, I have a lot of fun.
I also have to go with Ikaruga. The concept seems so simple on paper, but it’s an amazingly well done shooter.
Geometry Wars.
…maybe Super Stardust HD…I love that game co-op…
Time Pilot for the arcade.
Geometry Wars 2 FTW!!!
Super stardust HD
Contra (NES)
