Either way, I'm sure there will be quite a huge difference between using the browser and using the Facebook app on the PS3. Just think about it in comparison to the iPhone. Sure you can use the Safari internet browser to surf the web on the iPhone and do a bunch of stuff, but apps created for specific functions like Facebook, Banking, and Tweeting, are so much faster.

I don't even know why I'm talking about this so much. I don't have a facebook account and I don't plan on getting one anytime soon.

@Jordan:
You are a rare case than. Everyone I have talked to hates the browser because of how slow it is. I don't understand how one of the most powerful pieces of hardware ever created can be so horrible at doing something as simply as surfing the net. It's perplexing.

If I had one of those PS3 chatpads or had a wireless mouse/keyboard hooked up, I probably wouldn't mind the browser.

@Shawn
I dont now about you, but I've had no issues with the PS3 browser. It's no worse than Firefox 3.5

It always had Facebook support (!) through it's browser, and therefore has been better than Microsoft in that regard since launch.

I have to admit that Sony is doing a much better job of keeping up with Microsoft. Good job guys. :-)
