If you’re anything like me, then you’re just as excited about PokePark: Pikachu’s Big Adventure, despite being 24 years old and without guilt.  The Pokemon series has always held a soft spot in my heart, and I think now is the time I come out of the closet and tell  you.

I found this trailer while surfing around Destructoid and became instantly intrigued by the site of another installment to the long standing series.  Instead of fighting Gary and man-handling Misty this time, you traverse through a free-roam environment making friends and testing your skills.

The player assumes the role of Pikachu whose goal is to befriend and compete against other Pokemon to participate in tiered level events.  While there is no word about a world release at the moment, the game is set to debut in Japan on December 5.  Undoutedly, the game will more than likely see a world release soon after, or else suffer the tears of a million screaming men children.

  1. It’s okay Curtis, I like Pokemon too. We should start a PokePride Parade. :)

I’ll wait and see about this one. I don’t normally opt for the pokemon spinoffs but this looks decent at the moment.

  2. I still love Pokemon…despite being older too….And I admit, this game looks intriguing. But I wish they’d make some larger scale Pokemon games. (is a more hardcore Pokemon game an oxymoron?)

Think of a Pokemon MMORPG…in 3D!! Haha, that would satisfy my gaming desires and my inner child….

  3. Hey I’m 30 years old and I’m excited about this game. Ok, I can’t lie. I’m in absolutely no way excited about this game. However, I’m glad to hear you are Curtis. :-)

  4. ^^ While a Pokemon MMORPG would be awesome, it will probably never happen since Nintendo are so tight on keeping the kids playing their games safe from any potential pedophiles online. It’s nice to dream, though.
