It comes at no surprise that Mass Effect 2 will be getting a Collector’s Edition, you know, considering it’s probably going to be one of the most hyped games of next year. What will be a surprise to you all though, is that BioWare have been rather generous with the pricing of its planetary stallion. Compared to Modern Warfare 2‘s price, let’s just say it’s relatively cheaper.
Head inside for the full ladidadida. Yes, that means details and the box art in one slab.
Admit it, the only thing that’ll make the box art sexier is if they had Ashley Williams from the first game lying down with baby oil smothered all over her. While the Collector’s Edition will look rather brilliant on the outside, it’ll also be a lighter burden on your wallets. The only-for-special-people Edition comes with the mandatory tin case, and will also include an “Art of Mass Effect 2″ art book, a behind-the-scenes DVD, and the first issue of the Mass Effect Redemption comic series.
It’s standard, but the price isn’t. You can get the game for a very reasonable $69.99. Comparing that side by side with Infinity Ward’s shooter, which costs $20 more, we’re just happy EA and BioWare aren’t half as hungry as Activision these days.
