Today Capcom revealed some new details pertaining to Resident Evil 5‘s DLC. According to the publisher two new episodes will be released.

The first episode, dubbed “Lost in Nightmares,” will serve as a prequel mission where Chris and Jill must infiltrate Oswald Spencer’s mansion, as seen in the beginning of Resident Evil 5. Little is known about the second episode except that it will include a “Mercenaries Reunion” mode that features “8 new playable characters and weapon load outs.”
According to the announcement, the DLC will be released as such:

  • “Lost in Nightmares” Episode: 2/17/10 (Xbox 360), 2/18/10 (PlayStation 3)
  • Costume Pack 1: 2/17/10 (Xbox 360), 2/18/10 (PlayStation 3)
  • Episode 2 (Title TBA): 3/3/10 (Xbox 360), 3/4/10 (PlayStation 3)
  • Costume Pack 2: 3/3/10 (Xbox 360), 3/4/10 (PlayStation 3)

Capcom has yet to make any official statement regarding price, however Japanese gaming publication Famitsu reported that each episode will cost 400 Microsoft Points ($5) and each costume pack will be 160 Microsoft Points ($2).

Capcom is planning on releasing a Resident Evil 5 “Gold Edition” which includes RE5 and all the DLC in one package. The Gold Edition is currently slated to arrive on the Xbox 360 and PS3 on March 9 and will cost you $49.99.

    Nope, no mention of the PC.

  4. It will be interesting to see how much actual content there is in the DLC. Until then I’m staying a bit skeptical.
