Pretty much everyone can agree that the Nazi zombies were the best part of Call of Duty: World at War.

What if you could harness those brain-gobbling Nazis… in your pocket?  Because today, you can.

Activision saw fit to release the Call of Duty: World at War Zombies app exclusively on iPhone/iPod Touch this morning.  It retails for the ridiculous iPhone app price of $9.99 and can be downloaded here.

Treyarch studio head Mark Lamia describes the game, none-too-eloquently:

This is a great opportunity for fans of Call of Duty: World at War to take the fight against the Zombie masses wherever they are.  Zombies is a single player and co-op gameplay mode that people from all over the world have enjoyed playing and have spent countless hours conquering limitless waves of Zombies.

That second sentence has a lot of extra words, Mr. Lamia, if I do say so myself.  (And I do.)

Anyway, the game only has one level so far, “Nacht der Untoten” (Night of the Undead), but more are planned, and four people can play at the same time.  For the zombie hunter on the go, this just might be the best thing ever created.
