If you don't want the pets, no one is forcing you to buy them. Idiots.

Dan, you are right about people only staying because they've got the best gear and stuff. It's why people stick with certain FPS games, because they like being a big important player.

Blizzard can stick their pets where the sun don't shine.

I am so sick of Blizzard implementing more and more micro-transactions! Just like Nick said, they gross rediculous amounts of money but they still want to leech everything from their customers.

This is why I would have left Warcraft already if it were not for my guild (we actually meet in London on a regular basis). I lost all faith in Blizzard as a games developer years ago, there is a line between being a developer who is focused on creating compelling game play for customers and being money grabbing idiots.

Cataclysm is just an excuse to recycle content because they moved their good developers over to their new, 'secret' project. Too many MMO players get attached to a single game, and will never leave it just because they have collected so much there, so I guarantee they will make a lot of money out of this.

Blizzard could donate the ENTIRE $10 to charity. It's not like it's costing them anything now that the development is taken care of.

And still, WoW at $15 per month x 11.5 million people = $172.5 million dollars per month, or $2.07 billion per year. And they STILL want to leech more money from their customers? Hm.
