Manhunt 2 Banner

Manhunt, Rockstar’s “other” controversial franchise, has had its fair share of… controversy.

After being slapped with an AO-rating by the ESRB back in 2007, Rockstar delayed its release, cut out some of the super-gory bits, and submitted it for re-rating.  The edited version received an M for Mature and was eventually launched on the PS2, Wii, and PSP to lackluster reviews and sales.

Now, however… the times they are a-changin’.  Better send the kids to bed.

Unhindered by moral high-horse big box stores, digital distribution is the way of the future for PC gaming.  On November 6, 2009, you’ll be able to download an Adults Only-rated version of Manhunt 2 off of the download service Direct2Drive for the price of $29.95.

Whether this version is the game originally submitted to the ESRB or if it will feature new-and-improved content remains to be seen.

One thing’s for sure: this is one game you’ll want to download if you’re interested in two-year-old torture porn with Wii-quality graphics.  At least the AO-rated PC version will support 3D monitors.  Woo.

I love how lots of peopole are on their soap box right now complaining about the leaked terrorist footage in Modern Warfare 2, but no one is complaining about this. It’s absolutely hilarious to me!
