While release dates of games constantly change from game to game, once it’s gone gold, you know it’s on the way.

Keeping the same release date of October 27th in the US, one of the people on the Insomniac team also threw in some additional information for those hungry to hear more about Ratchet and Clank‘s new adventure.

For the loyal fans who have been playing Ratchet and Clank since its original release in 2002, you’ll be happy to know that many of its trademark features will still be in the new game. For instance, Challenge mode, cheats, skins, skill points and a huge arsenal of fantastic new weapons will all be returning in this ninth iteration of the series.

However, there’ll also be a ton of new features put into this game for new and old fans alike. This includes bonus platforming levels that can be completed on many of the moons scattered in the Ratchet and Clank universe, as well as optional puzzles that can be solved with Clank.

On top of all of this, there will also be an extremely hard boss that can only be fought once all Zoni are collected. This in turn will give you access to the Insomniac Museum, a place to view extra pictures and videos as well as secret developers tools. In addition, A Crack In Time will also have trophy support, including trophies for collecting bolts, completing modes and finishing the game on different difficulties.

These will include special in-game bonuses such as special skins for your spaceship and weapons, exclusive levels, bonus health, more powerful upgrades for your items, and even a free Home Avatar skin.
