Developer BioWare previously announced that Dragon Age: Origins will receive two downloadable expansions when the game launches November 3. Today the developer released two new trailers showcasing what exactly is in these DLC packs.

The first DLC pack, dubbed the “Stone Prisoner” expansion, will allow a golem, named Shale, to join your in-game party. Featuring unique abilities and a new storyline, the “Stone Prisoner” tasks gamers with discovering the hidden past of this rocky rumbler.

To find out more about these two expansions, read on.

It is important to note that the “Stone Prisoner” expansion is included with every new copy of Dragon Age: Origins. Those who buy Dragon Age used will have to pay 1200 Microsoft Points ($15) to get the extra content.

The second DLC pack, dubbed “Warden’s Keep,” adds “a new dungeon-exploring adventure, new loot including a set of ancient Grey Warden armor, a chance to gain two of six mysterious new abilities, a new base complete with merchants and a party chest to store their hard-earned items.” Wardens Keep is priced at 560 Microsoft Points ($7).

  1. I’m in the camp that thinks if DLC is already available at launch, then it should be included with the game, in reality we’re getting an incomplete game otherwise.

  2. Yes. I completely agree. This is obviously EA’s demonic hand at play here; Bioware used to never pull this crap. Ugh, I’m going to hate myself for buying the DLC.

  3. I love how all the Dragon Age: Origins trailers make the game out to be some super action oriented RPG, when it’s really just a hard core old school RPG. I have a feeling when it comes out it’s gonna really throw a lot of people off.
