For those living in Australia, impatient, and have an intense urge to smash a guitar on someone’s face, EB Games have released Brütal Legend in the land down under. While Tim Schafer’s brash badaboom was supposed to be released Thursday this week, the cunning custodians at EB have unleashed it two days shy of the scheduled date.
Head inside for the proof.
Shortly after reports that EB Australia started selling it early, we’re thinking JB Hi-Fi followed suit a few hours later. Currently being offered for the price of $89.00 AUD in JB, you can start playing Brütal Legend by tonight if you catch ‘em quick. If you’re still not convinced by Double Fine’s latest rock-tribute effort, you may skip on over to our interview with Tim Schafer, as you might learn a thing or two.

This game was something I was going to wait on, but it’s looking pretty sweet, so I might have to pick it up.

Wait a second … you guys still have EB Games down in Australia? They haven’t all converted over to GameStops?

Nope, still EB Games. Pretty sure it’s the same BS with a different packaging though mate, aha.

It’s also EB Games in Canada. I think GameStop is actually American only.

I miss FuncoLand. When Babbage’s, Electronic Boutique, and Funcoland all combined into GameStop, it was truly a sad day for game collectors… funcoland had the sweetest old website! Now… not so much: http://www.funcoland.com.
